Lately I have been approached by many merchants about the question “What is a monthly minimum fee?” Monthly minimum fee is probably one of the more confusing fees out there when looking for a new merchant account. It can be defined as a minimum amount your credit card processor requires you to generate each month. For example, if you have accumulated $15 in fees in a given month and your account monthly minimum is $25, you will be charged the difference, which is $10 in order to meet the monthly minimum requirements.
